Winan Creek Barn is your premier event venue located in Hanlontown, IA. We offer a full-service experience, perfect for hosting weddings, birthday celebrations, graduation parties, bridal and baby showers, corporate events, and more. We're excited to expand our services to the communities of Cerro Gordo, Hancock, Worth, Floyd, and Wright counties, as well as neighboring areas. Winan Creek Barn; beautiful venue with incredible owners! Angie and Mike are amazing and we would recommend them over and over again to make your BIG day everything you want and more. From the communication, to the decorations, to accommodations for your day, to just great people; they made sure everything was perfect and we had everything we needed. We just had twin girls two and a half weeks before our wedding day as well so you can imagine we were a bit stressed/worried that everything would come together, but they made sure we had as little stress as possible and that everything was exactly the way we wanted. The decorations were beautiful, the flow of the day was perfect, the officiant Mark did great, and we just couldn’t have asked for anywhere or anyone better for our wedding. Also aside from the beautiful view, weather, and location, there was a bald eagle nest across the road and the eagle decided to do some fly overs during our ceremony; crazy! Would recommend to anyone looking for a special place and great people for their BIG day! Thanks Angie and Mike, our day was perfect!

Out of all the venues we looked at, I am so glad we found Winan Creek Barn and chose to have our wedding here! I was hooked as soon as we toured the place. The owner’s are amazing to work with - easy to get ahold off, communicated every detail, offered recommendations and helped with various tasks the day of. Having a venue that had decor available and an extra option for a shuttle was fantastic! Saved me so much time and stress. The bridal party suites are so spacious and the perfect place for everyone to get ready together. If I had to do it all over again I wouldn’t change a thing!!

We couldn’t have chosen a more perfect venue than Winan Creek Barn for our wedding! From the very beginning, Mike and Angie were incredible to work with; kind, professional, and always willing to go above and beyond to make sure every detail was taken care of.
The package options gave us flexibility to fit our budget, and the location was ideal for guests traveling. The property itself is absolutely stunning, and having access to the venue’s decor made everything even more special. Angie’s eye for design brought our vision to life, and the spaces she created were breathtaking.
On the wedding day, everything was seamless. The bridal and groom suites were perfect for our wedding party to relax and get ready in, and the staff made sure the day ran smoothly from start to finish. We felt completely stress-free, which is exactly what every couple hopes for.
Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how beautiful the venue and decor were. We truly can’t imagine our wedding anywhere else and would choose Winan Creek Barn 1,000 times over. We highly recommend this venue to any couple looking for a gorgeous space with owners who genuinely care about making your day unforgettable.

Mike and Angie are hands down the best people to work with and have the most gorgeous venue!! From someone who changes their mind often they always were so accommodating and made our vision come to life!! The venue itself is so beautiful that you don’t really need to decorate much, but with them having so many to choose from it really helps to save money as well. Plus, with them doing all of the decorating it saved so much time and was a HUGE help!!! I can’t give enough thank you and compliments to them as a people and their venue!! From touring the barn, to keeping us updated on the get ready to suite build, to picking out decor & always putting up with all my changes - they were amazing! Mike puts in the muscle & makes sure everything gets moved to where you want it & makes a fabulous drink at the bar. Angie becomes your personal wedding planner by making sure every area of the barn is decorated so very beautifully 😍🤩 the cherry on top is they have a wonderful marriage to look up too & understand how important all the “little” details are!
